Settling In

I'm experimenting with different backgrounds, in case you haven't noticed.  And I'm probably not done yet :)  I'm not the artsy type, though, so it'll be looooong time till I branch out from the pre-designed ones and create my own "look."  I'm not so great at knowing what colors go together (and that carries over into clothing, too, which is why I wear jeans everywhere, including to church.  Mom always told me, "Everything goes with denim!")

I liked the brown background, with the ancient world map in the background, because, well, brown is one of my favorite colors and the world is one of my favorite places.  It looked very serious...mature, even.  Living before the face of God IS serious business, a calling I don't take lightly.  Some day it feels very weighty.

But it's also a place of abundant joy!  That's why I like the bright oranges and yellows, the dancing swirls.  Following God is the thrill of a lifetime...exciting and risky and breath-taking.  So maybe I'll keep this background for a while.  Like maybe till tomorrow.
